At Surya Chandra Yoga International, we are driven to share the traditional teachings of yoga in our beautiful city of New York as well as in decentralized and decolonized settings where we explore and grow together on interwoven paths of Self-realization. Our team consists of experienced teachers who are inspired to share the knowledge of yoga through classes and training that are geared towards exploration and expansion on both individual and societal levels.

What to expect

Deepen your personal practice with our 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course in Bayside, Queens, NY. We will explore the foundations of yogic practices during our part time teacher training course.  We've taken the teachings from the East and have adapted them for daily usage here in the West.

* Fri. Oct. 11, 2019 Orientation/Fire Ceremony

* Sat. Oct 12, 2019 Course begins

* Course runs Sat. & Sun. every other weekend 11:30am - 8pm, with breaks and lunch

* 11 weekends of classes

* Sat. Mar. 28, 2020 test

* Sun. Mar. 29, 2020 graduation

  • Dive deeply into asana, pranayama, chanting, meditation, mudras, bandhas, philosophy: Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Yoga Sutras, anatomy & physiology, personal practice, how-to-teach and much more.

  • Upon successful completion of this course you will be a well-rounded yoga teacher with understanding of the physical and energetic bodies, philosophy, inner knowing of the Self, how this all pertains to yoga and everyday life.

  • Personal daily practice/Sadhana instruction provided will raise your vibration level to help you live your best life.
